Year 2008 was mostly devoted to debt elimination. I was able to terminate some credit cards and be able to enjoy some trips without hurting our pocket. Year 2009 will be different. I will be focusing more on building up our emergency fund and trying to start a business. I've been contemplating about opening a store but I lack motivation. But now is the right time to start executing the plans I had for years. Here are some objectives I want to achieve in 2009:
- process my claim from PDIC for my time deposit at Rural Bank of DARBCI
- build an emergency fund of P100,000.00 by December 2009
- start a business
- fully pay Citibank Clear Visa Card
- update my blogs every week (xerkel and textpartner)
- get a health insurance for the whole family
- enroll in a driving school and finally learn how to drive
- weigh less than 120 lbs before March 2009
- visit Enchanted Kingdom with my kids
- get passport for my kids
These are my partial objectives for year 2009. I will be adding more when something comes to mind. How about you? What are your 2009 objectives?
I hear ya. It would be great to be debt free in 2009. With the economy the way it is and everybody desperately needing jobs, I'm not sure if it's possible in my situation though.
